Air Packs On the Rigs Now!

Thanks to a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) the Elmwood department has acquired six complete air packs with six spare air bottles.  This updates department's equipment and provides for greater firefighter safety.  The estimated value of the grant is $30,000 for the community.

First Responders

The Elmwood Fire Department now has nine state-certified first CPR first responders with automatic external defibrillators who have completed Basic Life Support training in 2009.  Be sure and visit our CPR page to learn how to save a life till our first responders can get on scene...
